Goodachari (2018)

Arjun grew up hearing that his father, an intelligence officer, died serving the country, and he spends years applying to every agency until he is finally picked by Trinetra, a secret unit that works off the books. He completes his training and falls for his neighbour Sameera, but just as his career begins, a terrorist attack wipes out the agency's leadership and Arjun is framed for it. On the run from his own side, he has to find out who set him up and what it has to do with his father's past. Goodachari (spy) was a sleeper hit, praised for delivering a slick, globe-trotting spy thriller on a modest budget. Adivi Sesh wrote the story and stars, and the film marked the Telugu debut of Sobhita Dhulipala as heroine and the return to the screen of producer Supriya Yarlagadda. A sequel, G2, followed.
