Decades ago Balaraju, a respected village elder, cut off his son when the young doctor left for London instead of serving the village hospital his father had built. Now the son's son, Abhiram, travels to the village under another identity, determined to heal the rift. He wins his way into the household, finds a troubled uncle in Bangari and falls for his spirited cousin Satya, while local rivals threaten the family. Govindudu Andarivadele is a colourful family drama in the classic Krishna Vamsi style, with festivals, fields, folk songs and generational emotion. Prakash Raj, who took over the grandfather's role during production, gives the film its emotional weight, and Yuvan Shankar Raja's songs were popular.
