The hero is a self-centred, free-living event-management businessman in the United States who has little use for family or sentiment. When his business runs into serious debt, he travels to India with a plan that involves his estranged family and a marriage of convenience. Living among his relatives and growing close to the warm-hearted woman played by Nayanthara, he slowly begins to discover what he has been missing. Greeku Veerudu ("Greek hero", a Telugu phrase for a handsome, dashing man) is a light family entertainer that gave Nagarjuna one of his suave romantic roles, opposite Nayanthara, with S. Thaman's music. It was a moderate performer at the box office.
