Gudumba Shankar (2004)

Shankar is a cheerful petty thief who lives by his wits. When he crosses paths with Gowri, a young woman escaping a marriage her family is forcing on her, he helps her flee, and the two set off on the run with her relatives and their hired men close behind. Along the way the thief and the runaway fall in love, and Shankar must take on the people who want her back. Pawan Kalyan wrote the story and screenplay himself and the film was produced by his brother Naga Babu; Mani Sharma's songs were hugely popular. Gudumba Shankar remains a fan favourite for its star's style and its music.
