Mukundan is devoted to his wife, but she is famously suspicious, and when an innocent encounter with an attractive stranger threatens to look like something else, he tells a small lie to cover it. His friends, one of them a dedicated flirt, rush to help, and each new cover story demands another, until three marriages and a crowd of bewildered outsiders are caught in the same snowballing deception. Happy Husbands is a 2010 Malayalam comedy directed by Saji Surendran, a remake of the Tamil hit Charlie Chaplin, with Jayaram, Indrajith and Jayasurya as the husbands and Bhavana, Samvrutha Sunil and Rima Kallingal among the women. It was a big commercial success, built on rapid-fire misunderstandings and the comic chemistry of its three leads.
