Hercules (1964)

Hercules is a 1964 Hindi costume adventure starring Dara Singh, the world-champion wrestler who became the hero of Hindi stunt films in the 1960s, here in the role of the mythical strongman. Like the Italian sword-and-sandal Hercules films that were popular at the time, it relies on feats of strength, fights and spectacle. Nishi and the young Mumtaz, then a regular co-star of Dara Singh before her rise to top stardom, appear opposite him. A cheerful period piece for fans of 1960s fantasy-action cinema.
