Home (2018)

Home is a Hindi web series from Habib Faisal, the writer of Band Baaja Baaraat and director of Do Dooni Chaar, who has a gift for the textures of ordinary Delhi family life. Annu Kapoor and Supriya Pilgaonkar play the parents of a close-knit middle-class household, with Amol Parashar as their son. Their settled routine is shaken when they discover that the building they call home has been declared illegal, and that a builder's shortcuts and official indifference could leave them on the street. The series follows the family as the crisis tests their savings, their nerves and their relationships with one another. Rather than a courtroom thriller, it is a quiet, observant drama about what a house means to people who have put their whole lives into it, carried by two seasoned lead actors.
