It is the night before exams in a crowded boys' hostel. One student is busy making a short film, others are cramming or goofing off, and then they find the strict warden dead. Terrified they will be blamed, they decide the body must not be found in the hostel, and the night spirals into a chain of panicked, ever more absurd plans. Nithin Krishnamurthy's debut is a dark comedy played almost entirely by newcomers, with a loose, chaotic style that catches the energy of hostel life. Several well-known figures of new Kannada cinema, including Rishab Shetty and Rakshit Shetty, appear as themselves in cameos. The film became a sleeper hit in 2023 and was released in Telugu as Boys Hostel.
