Sachidananda, known to everyone as Huccha, the madman, is the terror of his college: a short-tempered union leader who settles every argument with his fists. When a quiet, traditional girl from a priest's family joins the college, he falls for her with the same reckless intensity he brings to everything else, frightening her before he wins her over. Just as his life seems to be changing, a brutal attack leaves him broken and confined in a place where nobody believes who he is. Huccha is the Kannada remake of the Tamil hit Sethu (1999), which was later made in Hindi as Tere Naam with Salman Khan. It was Sudeep's breakthrough film, and its success made him a star.
