Idam Jagath (2018)

Nishith is out of work and short of money when he discovers that footage of accidents and crimes, shot quickly at night, can be sold to television news for good money. He becomes skilled at being first on the scene, and the money starts coming in, but the hunger for more sensational footage pushes him towards increasingly dangerous choices and into the path of real criminals. The premise recalls the Hollywood thriller Nightcrawler, transplanted to Hyderabad's late-night streets and its competitive TV news world. Sumanth, known for softer roles, plays against type, with Malayalam actress Anju Kurian as the female lead.
