Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal (2014)

Kathirvelan is a cheerful young man from Madurai who loses his heart to Pavithra, a confident working woman who comes to live nearby. Winning her is not easy: she has a complicated situation at home and in her past, and Kathirvelan's attempts to help keep backfiring, not least because of his chatterbox friend, played by Santhanam. Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal ("this is Kathirvelan's love") was Udhayanidhi Stalin's second film as hero after Oru Kal Oru Kannadi and paired him with Nayanthara. Harris Jayaraj composed the music, and Santhanam's comedy is a big part of the appeal.
