Inamdar (2023)

Inamdar is a 2023 Kannada film directed by Sandesh Shetty Ajri, with Ranjan Chhatrapati and Chirashree Anchan in the lead roles. It is set in the forested countryside of coastal and Malnad Karnataka and draws on the region's beliefs and customs, telling a story of a powerful landowning family, the people who work its land and a secret linked to the forest. Its rural, folklore-tinged setting led it to be compared with Kantara when it was dubbed into Hindi.
