Maya Luthra joined the advertising world as a protégée of Rahul Verma, the head of a major agency, and rose fast, eventually becoming his rival for the top job. Now she has filed a sexual-harassment complaint against him. A committee led by a social activist hears both sides, and the film moves between the hearing and flashbacks of their relationship, as mentor, colleague and lover, showing how differently each remembers the same moments. Sudhir Mishra reunited with Chitrangada Singh, whom he had launched in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, and the film was one of the first mainstream Hindi films to put workplace sexual harassment at the centre of its story, several years before the issue became widely discussed in India.
