Ira (2018)

A highly regarded doctor is arrested when a politician dies under his care and the death is ruled a murder. As the public turns against him and the case moves forward, a young man with his own reasons for being involved starts digging into the events of that night, and the investigation exposes power games, cover-ups and a far more personal motive. Ira is the directorial debut of Saiju S. S. and was produced by director Vysakh and writer Udaykrishna, the team behind Pulimurugan. Unni Mukundan plays the doctor, and Gokul Suresh, son of actor Suresh Gopi, plays the other lead. The story keeps the audience guessing with shifting viewpoints, and the film was noted for its twists and steady pace.
