Bharath drives a call taxi in Chennai at night and is in love with a young woman he hopes to marry. One night his path crosses with a woman who is later found murdered, and the evidence points squarely at him. As he runs from the police and tries to piece together what happened, the film reveals a web of blackmailers, lovers and strangers, each with a reason to want the victim gone, and shows the same events from several angles. The title means "the night has a thousand eyes". Debut director Mu. Maran built the film as a tight puzzle thriller, and it was well received for its twists, extending Arulnithi's run of thrillers.
