A cocky young man falls for the daughter of a powerful gangster, played by Jagapathi Babu. Following her leads him into the world of crime and money laundering, and the hero begins working as a journalist, exposing the corrupt and the hoarders of black money one story at a time, which makes him a target. ISM (short for journalism) is a Puri Jagannadh action film with his trademark fast dialogue and cocky hero, produced by and starring Kalyan Ram. It was the debut of Aditi Arya, Femina Miss India 2015, and came out shortly before India's 2016 demonetisation, which gave its black-money theme an unexpected topicality.
