Jallad (1995)

Jallad ("executioner") is a 1995 Hindi action drama directed by T. L. V. Prasad, one of the filmmakers with whom Mithun Chakraborty made many films during his prolific 1990s run. Mithun appears in a double role and his menacing turn as the film's villain won him the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role, a rare honour for an actor known mainly as a hero. Moushumi Chatterjee and Madhoo co-star. It is a typical action entertainer of the era, worth seeing mainly for Mithun's dual performance.
