James arrives in Mumbai looking for work and finds it at the door of a nightclub, where his strength and nerve make him a natural bouncer. The club, however, is part of a world run by gangsters, and James soon finds himself caught between rival bosses, his own sense of right and wrong, and a young woman he is determined to protect. The film was produced by Ram Gopal Varma at the height of his production company's run of gritty Mumbai crime films, and it introduced Mohit Ahlawat as an action hero. Nisha Kothari, whom Varma also cast in several of his films, plays the female lead.
