Jamindarru (2002)

Jamindarru ("the landlord") is a 2002 Kannada family action drama directed by S. Narayan, starring Vishnuvardhan with Prema and Raasi as the heroines. Vishnuvardhan plays a respected landowner whose authority rests on fairness, and the story pits him against people who want to break his family and exploit the village, while also giving room to comedy and two romantic tracks. It was part of a run of rural family dramas that Vishnuvardhan made in the early 2000s, a genre in which S. Narayan was one of the most prolific Kannada directors.
