Aravind was raised to believe in honesty and the rule of law, and the real world comes as a shock: bribes are needed for everything and the people sworn to uphold the law break it most. After a humiliating brush with corrupt police, he devises a daring plan to expose the officials, politicians and clerks who live off bribery by proving, document by document, how easily the system can be bought. His crusade makes him powerful enemies, and a man who looks exactly like him becomes part of the story. Samuthirakani made the film in Telugu alongside his Tamil version Nimirndhu Nil, with Nani in the role played by Jayam Ravi in Tamil. Amala Paul and Sarathkumar appear in both. It is known in Hindi as Power.
