Janhit Mein Jaari (2022)

Manokamna, a bright young woman from Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh, needs a job so her family will stop pushing her into marriage. The one she lands is as a sales representative for a condom company, which shocks everyone in town. When she falls in love with Ranjan and marries into his very traditional family, headed by a stern father-in-law, she has to keep her work secret, and then decides the town needs to hear what she has to say about women, health and unsafe abortions. The film's title is the phrase that ends Indian public-service announcements, "issued in the public interest". It was written by Raaj Shaandilyaa of Dream Girl, and was shot in Chanderi.
