Karan and Pooja are inseparable as children, even though he is poor and she is the daughter of a wealthy family. When the gap between their worlds forces them apart, both grow up carrying the memory of their first love, and fate brings them back together as young adults, only for family opposition and new misunderstandings to stand between them once more. Jeena Sirf Merre Liye is an unabashedly old-fashioned romantic melodrama, the second film to pair Tusshar Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor after Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai. Nadeem-Shravan composed the melodious soundtrack, one of the last in their long run of romantic hits.
