Vasco, Goa: the Eagles, led by the swaggering Max, and the Bichhoos, led by Prakash, rule opposite sides of town and settle every insult with a fight. Max's twin sister Shirley is the pride of her neighbourhood, and when Prakash's gentle brother Rahul arrives from Bombay and falls for her, the old feud turns into something far more dangerous. Loosely inspired by West Side Story, the film is a stylish musical gang drama with a strong sense of its Goan setting. Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai play the twins, the only time the two played siblings, and Anu Malik's songs were huge hits, including Apun Bola, which Shah Rukh sang himself. It was directed by Mansoor Khan, the maker of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.
