Judaa Hoke Bhi (2022)

A husband and wife were once deeply in love, but a personal tragedy has left them estranged, with him drinking and adrift and her carrying the household alone. When strange and frightening things begin happening to him, it becomes clear that something malevolent has attached itself to him, and his wife must decide whether to fight for the man she has drifted away from. Vikram Bhatt, who has made horror romance his speciality in films like 1920 and Raaz, combines grief, marital drama and the supernatural here. The film was made during the pandemic using virtual-production techniques, with actors filmed against digitally generated backgrounds, which the makers presented as a first for Indian cinema.
