Justice Chaudhary is a judge famed for his honesty, a man who will not bend the law for friends, enemies or family. His principles make him dangerous to a gang of powerful criminals, who set out to break him, and the conflict reaches into his own home, testing the bond between the judge and his son. Jeetendra leads the film with Hema Malini and Sridevi as the leading ladies, supported by Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor and Asrani. It is a Hindi remake of the 1982 Telugu hit Justice Chowdary starring N. T. Rama Rao, made by the same director, K. Raghavendra Rao, one of several Madras-produced Jeetendra films of the early 1980s that paired him with Sridevi. Bappi Lahiri composed the songs.
