Prem sings at weddings and is a hit at every party, until his own bride-to-be leaves him on their wedding day. Heartbroken, he takes comfort in his friendship with Priya, a kind young woman who has been helping him find his feet again, and slowly he realises he has fallen in love with her. The trouble is that Priya is engaged to a man who is nothing like the gentleman he pretends to be, and Prem must decide whether to speak up before it is too late. The film is an Indian adaptation of the Hollywood comedy The Wedding Singer (1998), with Salman Khan and Rani Mukerji in the leads, Raveena Tandon as the woman who returns to complicate matters and Jackie Shroff in a special role. Himesh Reshammiya's music includes the popular title song.
