Kannedhirey Thondrinal (1998)

Kannedhirey Thondrinal ("if you appear before my eyes") is a Tamil romantic drama starring Prashanth and Simran, with Karan in an important role. The hero falls in love with a girl only to discover that her brother carries a deep resentment linked to the hero's own past, so that winning her means first winning back trust he did not know he had lost. Friendship, family loyalty and romance pull against each other in a story told with plenty of songs, composed by Deva. It was one of the late-1990s romances that made Prashanth and Simran a popular pair. It circulates in Hindi as Naina Tere Kajrare.
