Kanoon Kya Karega (1984)

A lawyer and his wife are living a settled life when a man he helped send to prison is released and begins to stalk them. The ex-convict is careful never to cross the line into anything the police can act on, and as his campaign of fear grows, the couple realise that the law may not be able to protect them. Kanoon Kya Karega ("what will the law do?") was the first film directed by Mukul Anand, who later made Agneepath and Hum, and its story draws on the Hollywood thriller Cape Fear. Danny Denzongpa makes a chilling villain opposite Suresh Oberoi and Deepti Naval.
