Kelkkatha Shabdham (1982)

Kelkkatha Shabdham ("the unheard sound") is written and directed by Balachandra Menon, who also acts in it, from the period when he was making a string of popular domestic dramas in Malayalam. The cast includes a young Mohanlal, then in his early years before stardom, and Nedumudi Venu. Like Menon's other films of the time, it centres on relationships and the silent pressures within a middle-class family.
