In a village of Tamil Nadu, an ageing kabaddi coach has spent his life turning poor young women into players, giving them a way out of hardship through the sport. His former student, now a coach himself, takes up the mission to get the team into competition at the highest level. The girls have talent and determination, but they come up against officials who sell selections, rivals with money, and families that want them married off. Kennedy Club is a sports drama from Suseenthiran, who had earlier made the kabaddi film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, with veteran director Bharathiraja acting as the old coach and Sasikumar as the younger one.
