Description

Kia is a driven marketing professional who has no wish to be anybody's housewife. Kabir, the son of a wealthy builder, has an engineering degree and an MBA, but what he really wants is to be a homemaker, as his late mother was. They fall in love, marry, and settle into a life where she goes to work and he cooks, cleans and looks after her mother. It works beautifully, until other people's opinions, and then success, start to strain the marriage. Ki & Ka is R. Balki's light-hearted look at gender roles, in the vein of his earlier Cheeni Kum and Paa. Its score is by Ilaiyaraaja, a longtime Balki collaborator, and Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan appear as themselves in a playful cameo.
