Ko 2 (2016)

Kumaran, a young man with no obvious political background, manages to kidnap the sitting Chief Minister and holds him in a hidden location, while the police, the media and rival politicians scramble to understand what he wants. As the hours pass, the two men talk, and the reasons behind the kidnapping begin to emerge, rooted in the damage that political decisions do to ordinary lives. Prakash Raj plays the Chief Minister with his usual mix of menace and humour, and Bobby Simha, fresh from his National Award for Jigarthanda, takes the lead. The film shares only a title and a political theme with the 2011 hit Ko and is not a direct sequel. It was the debut of director Sarath Mandava, with music by Leon James.
