Koothara (2014)

Koothara (roughly "good-for-nothing") is a Malayalam comedy-drama directed by Srinath Rajendran, who had earlier made Second Show. It follows three young friends, played by Bharath, Sunny Wayne and Tovino Thomas, whose aimless lives full of mischief take an unexpected turn. Mohanlal appears in a special role, and the film mixes youthful humour with a quirky, offbeat mood. It came before Tovino Thomas's rise to leading-man stardom, offering an early look at him alongside Sunny Wayne.
