Kumari 21F (2023)

Kumari 21F is a Kannada remake of the 2015 Telugu hit of the same name, written by Sukumar. Pranam Devaraj, son of actor Devaraj, plays Siddhu, an aspiring chef who falls for Kumari, a confident, outspoken young model played by Nidhi Kushalappa. She is everything people gossip about, and his friends never stop feeding his insecurities. The love story turns on trust: whether he can see her for who she is rather than what others say about her. Like the original, it mixes youthful romance and comedy with a message about how women are judged, and it gave Pranam Devaraj one of his first lead roles in Kannada cinema.
