Sushil, a young man in a small north Indian town, is head over heels for Sonam Gupta, but she suddenly disappears from his life. Heartbroken, he sets out to find out what happened, only to discover that the line "Sonam Gupta bewafa hai" (Sonam Gupta is unfaithful) has been scribbled on currency notes and turned into a viral joke across the country. His search becomes a comic, sometimes touching chase. The film takes its premise from the real-life internet meme that spread in 2016, when photos of a ten-rupee note bearing the line went viral. Punjabi singer-actor Jassie Gill leads, with Surbhi Jyoti as Sonam and Vijay Raaz in a comic role.
