Laila O Laila (2015)

Jai Mohan seems to be an ordinary employee with a dull office job, but he is actually an undercover agent working for an Indian intelligence agency on a mission against terrorists. His new wife Anjali knows nothing of this and grows increasingly frustrated with a husband who keeps disappearing, until his two worlds begin to collide. The film mixes espionage thriller with domestic comedy, built on the contrast between the stakes of his mission and the small troubles at home. Directed by the veteran Joshiy, Laila O Laila paired Mohanlal with Amala Paul, and Gopi Sundar composed the music. Mumbai and Bangalore locations give it a larger canvas than most Malayalam films of the time.
