Dino and Karishma are college friends in Mumbai who are always together. When her family fixes her marriage to someone else, the two realise they might be in love and impulsively run away, getting married along the way while both families chase after them. The adventure of eloping is fun; marriage turns out to be harder, as money troubles, arguments and the plain reality of living with another person take over. Arif Ali, brother of Imtiaz Ali, made his directing debut with this youthful romance, which also launched Armaan Jain, a grandson of Raj Kapoor. A. R. Rahman composed the songs.
