Lift (2021)

Guru has just moved to a new software company as a team leader and stays late on his first day. So does Harini, a colleague on his team. As the building empties, the lift begins to behave strangely, doors refuse to open and floors repeat themselves, and the two realise they are not alone and cannot get out. Lift is a compact horror thriller set almost entirely within one office tower, and it uses the familiar spaces of corporate life, fluorescent corridors, cubicles and elevators, to build its scares. It was the debut of director Vineeth Varaprasad and an early lead role for Kavin, who went on to the hit Dada.
