Lalgudi Karuppaiah Gandhi, or LKG, is an ambitious local councillor whose father was a loyal party worker who never got anywhere. Determined not to repeat that fate, LKG spots a chance when a by-election opens up, and he hires a sharp corporate consultant who runs political campaigns like brand launches. Together they stage viral moments, manufacture outrage and exploit social media to make him a household name. The film is a broad political satire of contemporary Tamil Nadu politics, aimed at everyone from established parties to online influencers. Radio jockey RJ Balaji wrote it and plays the lead in his first film as a hero, and it was a solid commercial success. Politician-speaker Nanjil Sampath appears in a role that plays on his public image.
