Arjun is a restless young man who is drawn to anything people tell him not to touch, and haunted places are his favourite challenge. When he hears of Divyavathi, a woman whose ghost is said to haunt an old, empty apartment block and to destroy any man who comes near, he decides to find out the truth for himself, with Priya, a young woman who becomes part of his search. The deeper he digs into Divyavathi's story, the more obsessed he becomes, until he is no longer sure whether he is investigating a ghost or courting one. Love Me, subtitled If You Dare, is a horror romance, an unusual mix for Telugu cinema. It was the debut of director Arun Bhimavarapu, and brought together two veterans behind the camera: composer M. M. Keeravani and cinematographer P. C. Sreeram.
