Lovers (1983)

Lovers is a 1983 Hindi romance directed by Bapu, the Telugu filmmaker and artist famous for his mythological and literary films, who also made several Hindi films, including Hum Paanch and Woh Saat Din. It pairs Kumar Gaurav, still riding on the fame of Love Story, with Padmini Kolhapure as young lovers whose families and circumstances stand between them, with Danny Denzongpa in a key role. It is a typical example of the young-love dramas that followed Bobby and Love Story in the early 1980s.
