Luca is a carefree sculptor in Kochi who makes art from scrap and lives life on his own terms. When his body is found, police officer Akbar takes up the case, and the main clue is a diary kept by Luca's girlfriend Niharika, a researcher with her own troubled past. As Akbar reads, the film moves back through their whirlwind romance, the shadows they carried and the people around them, while he deals with problems in his own marriage. Luca was Arun Bose's debut, and is notable for its romantic, colourful look at Kochi's art scene and Fort Kochi streets, with Tovino Thomas and Ahaana Krishna sharing a lively chemistry and Sooraj S. Kurup's music.
