Luck (2009)

Ram is a young man in Mumbai who has never lost a bet. Desperate for money to save his mother, he is drawn into a secret world run by Moussa, a gangster who searches the world for people with uncanny luck. Each is offered a fortune to take part in a series of life-or-death games, from Russian roulette to a shark-infested swim, while rich clients place bets on them. Ram and the other players, including a young woman with her own secret and a former soldier, must survive one round after another. Luck was loosely inspired by the Spanish thriller Intacto and was Shruti Haasan's first Hindi film as a lead. Much of the action was shot in South Africa.
