Description

A broadcast of Lux Radio Theatre, which ran on American radio from 1934 to 1955 and adapted current and recent films into hour-long radio plays — very often with the original stars reprising their screen roles in front of a studio audience. Cecil B. DeMille hosted for nine years. It is one of the best-documented bodies of radio drama there is, and for some films the radio version preserves a performance that the film itself has lost to a cut or a missing print. The play is "Mr Belvedere Goes To College". Broadcast 16 January 1950. Programme number 685.
