Description

Raja is back. The swaggering, broken-English-speaking strongman from Madurai comes to Pampinthuruthu, an island village in Kerala, where a powerful businessman, Nadesan, runs an illegal liquor empire that has already claimed lives and has the police in his pocket. Raja sides with the villagers and with an old family that Nadesan wants to crush, and the fight soon grows into all-out war. Madhura Raja is the sequel to Vysakh's Pokkiri Raja (2010), again written by Udayakrishna, and it was one of Mammootty's biggest commercial hits of 2019. Telugu star Jagapathi Babu plays the main villain and Tamil actor Jai joins the cast; Sunny Leone appears in a song.
