Madurai Veeran (2007)

Madurai Veeran is a 2007 Tamil action romance directed by Vincent Selva, who had earlier introduced Jithan Ramesh in the horror thriller Jithan. Here Ramesh plays a young man from the Madurai region whose love story runs into the anger of powerful local men, leading to fights and confrontations. Saloni Aswani, later known for Telugu films such as Maryada Ramanna, plays the heroine. It is a small-scale masala film of its era and should not be confused with the classic 1956 MGR film of the same title.
