Maharathi (2007)

Maharathi ("great warrior") is a 2007 Telugu action drama directed by P. Vasu, with Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead and Jayaprada in an important role, alongside Sneha. In the mould of Balakrishna's family entertainers, it mixes sentiment, romance and powerful dialogue-driven confrontations as the hero stands up for the family he serves against those who want to destroy it. The Hindi upload title hints at a thread about a woman's love redeeming a man who has lost his way. Fans of the star and of P. Vasu's style of emotional mass cinema will know what to expect.
