Main Aur Mera Haathi (1981)

Main Aur Mera Haathi ('me and my elephant') is a 1981 Hindi film directed by R. Thyagarajan, a regular director for Devar Films, the Madras studio famous for animal films such as Haathi Mere Saathi. Mithun Chakraborty stars with Poonam Dhillon, and as the title says, an elephant is at the centre of the story. It mixes family drama, romance and the animal heroics that the studio's films were loved for. Little more detail is widely known.
