Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju (2015)

Raja Ram is a stammering runner from a modest background; Nazeera is a bright young woman from a conservative Muslim family. They fall in love quietly, almost without words, but circumstances and family pull them apart. The film moves between that past and the present, when their lives have taken very different paths and a new chance appears. Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju ("this day won't come again") was the first film of writer-director Kranthi Madhav, praised for its gentle, poetic treatment and for the performances of Sharwanand and Nithya Menen. Gopi Sundar's melodic score was a big part of its appeal, and the film was well received by critics.
