Manikanda (2007)

Manikanda is a Tamil action drama from 2007 starring Arjun Sarja opposite Jyothika, one of her last films before taking a long break from cinema, with comedy star Vadivelu in support. Arjun plays the title character, and the film follows the pattern of his family-centred action entertainers of the period: a principled hero, emotional family ties, villains who cross him and comedy interludes built around Vadivelu. It received a modest response and is of interest chiefly to fans of the lead pair.
